If you are being choked at your workplace because of the nature of supervision of your boss or employer. You can subtly confront them to see how it goes.

You can tell them you need an independent work time. you would enjoy the job better.

Ask the micromanager to tell you were you are not doing well so you can work on it than him hovering around you all day

I think it is better to learn how to be flexible and adapt to the condition of the work. If you find it difficult to cope with the bureaucratic problems, you can then confront them. In this kind of situation, you should not expect a drastic change.

The easiest and best way is to keep the communication channel open and convey what you actually feel about the situation and what do you really expect.. The manager might be receptive and try to bring the changes. Or he might be too adamant. In the later case, it might be tricky and more challenging to confront him.

Yesh there are always Two ways to it. The manager might be receptive and try to bring the changes. Or they might be too adamant to change but whichever way we need to move

There is no way to be diplomatic about this thing. It always ends in confrontation. I had a manager like that, he only stopped that behavior the day a staff beat him blue and black.

Lol, but you just have to give it a try. You can't know if you don't try. We might just assume but it will work better if we give it a shot

Lol@ war brings peace. That must being a peaceful war. Yeah I like your last sentence it is better to walk away from that job if you can no longer tolerate the habit.

I think I have said it before in this forum that it is better to leave a workplace with your sanity intact than to keep on working with a toxic mindset.

I agree with you I think we need to normalise leaving a job that is affecting us mentally and otherwise. it doesn't make sense staying in a toxic place for a long time

It is just that so many people are scared of resigning to stay at home. But you should start finding another job when you notice repeated toxicity in a workplace. Please don't stay and manage.

There are some managers who will not take this approach very lightly with you which is why I will always encourage people to do their job exactly how they instructed to do it and not be looking for another way out.

Yeah you can do the job the way you should buy some might not still be satisfied with it but it will not be out of place to show a little how you feel.

I think it is quite difficult to change a person's management style. In any case, I would try to tell him/her that I would appreciate the opportunity to work more independently. I would tell him/her my working goals and how I would achieve them. I would proactively report my progress. If I see no improvement on the situation, I would look for another job.
