I was made to take notes during the last two meetings in my workplace and I'm sure I did a terrible job. I would have to learn how to make it properly as it's used in meetings.

True Taking records is very important, this would help a lot. With records one can easily go through it to see all that was said and agreed upon to he able to make the necessary change for the next meeting.

Taking minutes in a meeting is important as it provides a written record of what have been discussed, the follow up actions needed and the deadlines to complete certain tasks. The minutes taken by the secretary should be reviewed and approved by the Chairperson of the meeting before distribution to participants of the meeting.

The secretary of the company where I used to work is always in charge of taking the company minutes whenever we are in meeting and everything is always documented for reference purposes.
