How would you feel with a delay in your order?

That's the very reason I don't like ordering online. I won't bother if it is pay-on delivery. I would just take my money and buy it somewhere else.
I feel frustrated or disappointed with a delay in my order, as i may have been looking forward to receiving the item(s) I ordered. However, depending on the reason for the delay and the way it is communicated, some people may be understanding and willing to wait for their order to arrive.
That is actually one of the reasons I prefer to buy at physical stores. Delayed delivery happens. It is a frustrating experience. Should this happen, I would complain to customer care department of the company.
Frustrated, disappointed, or upset but I know it's important to remain professional and handle the situation with empathy and solution-focused approach.
I will feel worried and agitated. I will reach the seller and know what is going on? I will I get assuring words, I will exercise some patience.
I will definitely feel sad and disappointed, but that's okay, I believe if luck means it will never go anywhere. I will not be angry with the buyer, because maybe he has other reasons that make him delay the order. Remain a professional seller to give a good impression to the buyer, so he can buy in larger quantities next time.
An often delay on my online orders makes me feel doubtful about the seller. Doubtful in the sense, if the seller can really provide the items that I need, thus I ask myself does the seller really have the on hand items that they sell? If I have any contacts with them even thru chat, I will probably catch their attention to expedite the process of my order/s.
If there was a valid reason for my order being delayed then I wouldn't mind as long as I was kept updated and I knew what was going on. If I had an order delayed though without any kind of reason given or an apology and I was left in the dark, I would definitely be a little frustrated especially if I paid for a specific kind of delivery to ensure I got it by a specific time.
A delay in the order makes a businessman to get stressed and worry about the losses being incurred over the delayed order. However sometimes we can't avoid order delays but we can avoid this by making the orders abit earlier.
I always tell people to make their online orders one month before the time they want to use it. That would afford the supplier to handle all logistics so you won't be disappointed..
