Just as we all agreed that it is relevant to register one's business, it has lots of importance when you register your business. Through registration, you would be able to claim bona-fide owner on it. It would become hereditary business which can be transferred from generation to generations. The copyright issue of the registered business cannot be disputed. People and companies would like to deal with registered business because of its legality. It's certificate can be used as a security in financial markets.
If you register your business you will stand to gain a lot of things from the government if they are going to give grants to businesses.
The government give grants to small businesses but those grants would only go to registered ones.
Some registered business are still being pirated as well but the good thing about having your own business registered is that if you catch anyone pirating your products, you will sue the person legally and demand for damages.
As a business organization, you can't benefit from any government incentives if your business is not registered. You can't access some loans and you can't bid for contracts from big companies.

I'm in a situation whereby City businesses are not registered you will always be harassed during your business hours and is going to make it very difficult for you to carry out your daily activities.
