I think a businessman should be good at expressing his/her ideas or proposals. S(he) should also be a good listener, listen patiently to the needs of the customers.

I think it depends on the situation. They cannot be passive all the time, especially if the concern is about making the business successful. There are times that workers will abuse the kindness of the management if they tend to be lax.
