Investing in gas has been in existence for a long period of time now, though there are lots of people investing in crude oil, but their major focus in most cases is usually on petroleum. Investing in gas is also very lucrative and it is also a perfect example of defensive investment. Investing in gas is considered as good investment cause it is expected the price of gas would continue to rise in the future.

Investment in gas is very risky investment because gas is very volatile. It is not advisable to invest in gas without insurance protection. Though the volatility of gas depend on the type of gas it is. Cooking gas is very volatile
I never invested in gas so I can not say if it is a good idea or not, but what I do know is that gas is quite volatile and it is difficult to foresee its next movements since it really depends a lot on the macroeconomic situation and geopolitics and more in these days with the war.
The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited is the sole provider of territory-wide town gas in Hong Kong. I have invested in this company by buying their shares in the stock market. I get stable dividends from this company on a regular basis.
