Investing in Physical Gold?

In India people like Gold a lot and is considered as a precious metal that's why users from old times like to invest in Gold.

Do you think it's wise to Invest in Gold?

Yes, it is good because the gold rates from last years have increased drastically. I remember I bought gold at 8k INR/10 g in 2006 and it's now 50k INR. Which is approximately more than 6 times. I would like to invest in gold but don't have enough money. But after 2 years I will buy gold as it will be required in the marriage of my kids for the ornament and I know with time the rate of the gold will increase.

That's good. My parents don't like to invest so they never really went for it and even I am unable to invest in Gold but I like to know if it's better to invest in Digital gold or in Physical Gold?

Why are you unable to invest in gold? It's not that tough just buy 10 grams of gold every 6 months with your online earnings, that wont be difficult I guess.

But it is still good to do your research make sure that yiu know how you can easily sell it off before selling. it is very important.

Selling is easy in case you have digital gold. A person buys physical gold mostly when he /she has to use it in future. I have bought physical gold and have kept it in the locker for future use.

I don't really like gold. Most people keep it and use it for ornaments which I'm not a fan of. It would be good as an investment though and I plan to buy some as a hedge against the inflation we are currently going through.

It depends on person to person some like to buy gold as an ornament to save it for the future

I was almost a victim of physical gold, but my brother in law is a chemist and instructed me do something to the gold bar before paying. I poured a chemical without the sellers notice and it turned out to be fake.

It's better not to buy gold from the local supplier, one should buy a branded gold. We have hallmark and Tanishque here or buy them from a reputed shop. I am lucky that I was never cheated.

Yes, it is costly these days. My wife asked to get her bangles but I deny stating that it's costly nowadays. I will get her when the rates reduce but I doubt the rates will ever go down.

We buy jewellery of 22 carats. Jewellery is not made by pure gold.

Investing in gold actually happens that way, digital gold investment is not diffrent then BTC, because you do not own it physically; this is the biggest diffrence. Gold frame, spoon etc are also same

But there is a chance that the rate of gold won't come down if it will rise only.
