Is egg selling a profitable business

Most folks in my country have now reverted to the egg selling business. I don't have any idea whether the business is profitable. Any views?

It seems to be very popular here in Nigeria too. It may be because people are looking for cheaper subsititues for meat and fish as alternative sources of protein.

It's also possible that it's due to greater propagation of poultry farms.
