Probably, it is not actually necessary in my own opinion because creating such a department means that the business person will be spending more money which is usually not advisable as a business person.Its not really necessary, but if you can handle it, then go ahead. If you create this department, it means you would have to be paying them salary as well, do you have the resources to do this?
I think it is something very necessary to do in a business venture. When you know the grievances of your employees you'll be able to solve it faster. Some grievances can even hamper their work rate.In some companies, the Human Resources Department is doing the job of handling grievances. Employees may talk about the problems they encounter with the Human Resources Officer who would offer counselling service.
It will surely break the workmanship between them. At some instances, they can sort out the problems and deal with them. If they cannot resolve them, then it is about time to ask the help from the higher-ups.It will be necessary but it can adversely affects work relationships. Sometimes, it is better to allow co workers solve their problem without going extra mile.
