Is it okay to ask about your age when having the job interview?

Well, I don’t think it is awkward because they always want to know the age range and so many things to know if you will be the best for them

In my city, before the job interview, you have to show your HK Identity card to the potential employer. That include information about your date of birth. So, there's no need for the interviewer to ask about your age during the interview.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that but you should seek more of a matured person not just the age which is a number

I don't think it is a bad question to ask. Some jobs demand a certain range of age to be able to handle it effectively and the interviewer is just asking to ascertain if you are fit for the job age wise.

I don't think there is anything wrong for asking age in the job interview. They must be requiring people on the basis of age for a particular so they may ask your age.

I have not experienced it because the manager saw my credentials in my resume. In case, I am asked, there is no problem.

What's the issue about revealing your age. Unless the job demands specifically young people, I do not thing age matters much.

There are young but lazy and lack skill and there are mature hard working and skills. Only banks require age qualifications and sales persons.
