In my opinion, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is not reliable when it comes to evaluating the employees. It is usually conducted by Human Resource Department. Why I am claiming it because it is purely subjective in evaluating the workers of the company. But then, the good part is that there is an end-result to show how poor the performance of the employees.

It is good as a company owner to know how well your workers perform. This can be effective for promotions or higher business offer. In my opinion, it is not an entirely bad idea

The truth of the matter is the end result would always tell. No matter how much they work, it is usually the end results that determines how it would go in the end.

It is a viable indicator of the parameters that are being assessed. Since there are standards to be weighed against to see how each indicator measures up, it can be a fair indicator of performance.

KPI is very essential to businesses that are large in the sense that they are more of a company or a manufacturing firm so as to assess the performance rate off their employees.

This is very helpful in the sense that it helps keep track of who is the best and who is not performing well in the company and if possible removing the staff

Key Performance Indicators rely on data to weigh staff performances and it can be said to be a good yardstick to judge the abilities of a staff. It is not fool proof though as it is only quantitative in nature.

Key performance indicators are reliable as long as the officer is honest and objective when assessing employees. These results can be used as a reference for promotion offers, to outstanding employees or awards, etc.

There are mostly statistical and just quantitative but can be used as a reasonably good substitute for rational decision making and evaluation of staff performances. The best bet though is to combine it with a qualitative measure to get the real deal.

Key Performance Indicators can be effective in providing a reference to management when assessing the performance of a staff. That said, the business owner or management should not just rely on KPI. Other factors such as attitude of the staff, willingness to take initiative should also be taken into consideration.
