Is owning a forum profitable?

I can see now that there are many forum out there that are paying members to post on the forum.
I would like to ask if it is Profitable for the owners?

It should be. They are so much and I don't think it will keep increasing if it is not profitable. It seems to be profitable.

I think it is only profitable to own a forum if you have alot of in house products and services aside from running ads.There should be some subscriptions that are tailored for small individuals,a group of start-ups and eventuall big businesses.So my take is that every few bucks we make should noy go towards consuption but we should reserve a little for business growth.If you work for a paid to post forum for four months then you should be able to save about $15 that you can use to promote your small business within the forum.

We also need to be giving money back to the forum that is why the tipping feature very some shoukld be enabled because you do not need to inconvenience the admin to write commands of the points you would like to credit to a number of people.It defeats the whole process of decentralization and feeling ownership to your money.However we can buy the coins from the admins and use them for buying products and services.

I do not own a forum personally so I cannot really say for sure if it is profitable or not, but what I do know is that if forums owners are not making any profit from it, then I don't think they would do it in the first place.

It is not a very easy website to create because sometimes you may not be making the money you are sending to members.

Those forums that operate until now profit a lot for if not they will shut down. So a forum is lucky if having many ads and good members.

I am sure it is. They would not waste their time and energy if not gaining anything from forum sites. In fact, I was hoping to have this kind of business in the future.

I don't own a forum but I think owning one can be profitable if it is done properly. Owners have to think of ways to recruit members, pay them reasonably well. S(he) also needs to encourage members to post quality content. Most important of all, how to generate revenue.

This is why I always think so is whenever I say that I want to own a forum because it is consuming a lot of money

Forums are very popular even now. Of course, it used to be more popular, but even now, there are a lot of people posting on them. However, if you want to make it profitable, you need to promote it well and also make the community good and interesting. Without the people, it won't be any good, and you won't make any money.

This is most easier step. You have many free software for runing forum. You can even use Wordpress and with few plugins like MyCred or DiscussionHub have great forum with reward system.

I guess it is. There was a place I read about a certain website that was making almost $1500 on his forum website. Forum sites do pay decently it may depend on the way you would handle it.

Why not I will like to own a forum someday. I like how forums are being operated but I don't know how profitable it can be for now but I like it
