Is selling flowers a good business?

I have seen lots of small stalls on the road selling flowers.

The sale increases during valentine's day, new year and other such occasion.

Do you think it is a lucrative business? I don't think so as the flowers remain fine for a day after a day the flowers dry and cannot be sold.

I can say it is not because it is seasonal. Dates like Valentine's day and Nov 1st are the most popular dates here and mostly go to flower stores or stalls to buy. But not an everyday thing.

People still buy flowers while they go to the temple or to decorate home. But except for the special days, the sale of flowers is very low.

Here, not often they buy flowers. We do it on special occasion.. I forgot to include Mother's day.

I am not sure about that. Here in our area, no one sells flowers. If ever I find one, it is because it is Valentine’s day or All Saints Day

I think if your store locations is on high end village or community, that might be a lucrative business, after all those who are living there can afford to have flowers everyday for their home.

Yes, it is. In my city, it is one of the products that are distributed to nearby places. It is profitable during All Souls and Saints Day here.

It's a good business and we see people prefer to gift flowers, Bouquet etc so yes it's a good way to make money and don't require a bigger investment.

Well i guess it depends on your location though. I have seen people who live off selling flowers, over here in my location, you would hardly see anyone selling flowers as it is not a lucrative business in my present location. So i guess your location plays a major role.

It's profitability depends heavily on culture of the locality the business is situated. Like in india and asia countries that have much attachments to worshipping with flowers, it is a profitable business there.
