Is "you are looking sexy' a compliment in the real sense?

When I looked up the word "sexy" in the dictionary, it implied it to mean "someone that is sexually attractive" or " someone that you can easily go down with ". I feel I am being sexualized by that statement of looking sexy.

Do you feel it is a complement?

I think the meaning of the statement has evolved to mean that the person is looking pretty. The interpretation depends on a person's mindset though.

Whenever I see myself in the mirror, I always say that I am sexy. I do not mind if people say this adjective to me.

If people say that I am sexy, I take it as a complement. I do not see anything negative in this word unless the person who is saying this has other thoughts in mind.

There is no big deal in being sexy. People ought to take things less serious because sexy is quite innocent.
