This is a very excellent thread and what people should know is that a life of an entrepreneur is crazy tough because there are highs and lows. You can start with them then when you have good number of traffic you can monetize with Google adsense.

The only thing I am running away from is that the process is too long and it may even take years before I begin to make money from it so that is why I just stick to blogging sites

Ritten post that should be perused upon. It is not business wise to be pursuing a certain business just for the sake of generating revenues. First ask yourself, do you have passion for the business?. If not, stop and check your feelings.

I agree with your opinion, in general to assess whether a business idea is worth pursuing, they do a feasibility study but a feasibility study will cost a lot, but will present all the evidence and they can make a recommendation whether the business idea is worth continuing or not, before they make business planning. A feasibility study is very different from a business plan, a feasibility study focuses more on research, analysis, presentation of data, considerations and recommendations, while a business plan will focus on planning, organizing, actuating and controlling.
