Keeping money in house

I do not put a lot of money at home. I have a small safety box to store money and some jewelry. Most of my money are put in banks.

What do you think of keeping money in socks? Yes some people really keep money in socks. I guess it is good but what if you lose sock? Also can paper in sock start rot?

For me l had tried out the saving of money in my house but l failed along the tunnel.
