Laws and Workplace Discrimination

What laws are there in your country against workplace discrimination? Are these laws often broken? Are companies that break anti-discrimination laws often punished?

The government of my country are not even serious enough to do the things that they are supposed to do and not to talk of getting involved in helping to end the discrimination that goes on in workplaces.

There are really no laws against workplace discrimination in my country. There is an unwritten code that employees of a state civil service should be 80% indigenes. Federal jobs must reflect Federal character.
