Making money selling plants

Though there are many people selling seeds, a large percentage of the seeds do not germinate due to fungus and related problems. Additionally some seeds are eaten by pests like snails, so many people prefer to purchase plants. Do you know anyone who is making money selling different kinds of plants? If yes, how many plants do they sell every month?

I think people are selling plants and making decent money from it but I'm yet to ask anyone like that and don't think they will answer correctly

Though they may not share financial or sales information, can you share what kind of plants they prefer to sell, do they like flower plants or vegetable plants ?

Sorry I'm not sure but I think most prefer to buy those plants that doesn't need much care like Bitter gourd, tomatoes etc

People are not seeing it as opportunity here. Though there is a government establishment that is selling seedlings to farms. I don't remember the name again.

Selling plants can take lots of time to take care of thats why people resort to buying plants. However, the demand would not be a consistent one since plants are not items that we need everything, instead, it is a responsibility that would build up. The more plants a person has would mean a greater amount of time that they would need to put in to take care of the plants. Therefore, spending 2-3 months or even more time to sell just a pot of plant, to earn $5, might not be a good idea.

We have a local place called Orchidarium that sells different kinds of plants. These plants can bear fruits and flowers. Since I was a child, they are well-know with this kind of business.

Yes, you don't have to start planting through seeds. With seedlings, problem of inactive seeds is avoided. The only problem with the seedlings is that rodents might destroy it.

We have a local organic farmer in the outskates of one of the towns in lusaka called Kafue in ten park area back in my country.On facebook he goes by the name Radical farmer and he even has an online store.The man is doing well and even has attracted audience from the west.This kind of venture is very lucrative and makes quite alot of sells.This venture is very easy and can easily scale you into a profitable entreprenuer when you develop interest.
