Managing family expenses can be a tricky task, especially in today's economy. How do you all handle budgeting and saving for your families?

What strategies have you found to be most effective in keeping expenses under control? Are there any specific tools or apps that you use to help with this?

For me, we make monthly budgets apart from the sudden expenses. It's not easy to make it and follow it. But this is the only way to check your expenses and save some amount of money. I don't if there is any other tool to manage family expenses.

It's very difficult to keep expenses under control, because commodities prices becomes too high and somethings are touching it's peak level. I have seen that in many places all family members are working to earn the living.

@SHAHID987 yes that is true. It's not easy to survive these days. But still making a budget for the month is always helpful as by that we may be able to check our expenses and get to know how much money we will save after monthly expenditures and by that we may be able to improve our life style.

Because of this pandemic thing, I am still struggling to deal with this concern. But then, it can still be manageable and I need more options to earn extra cash, either online or offline.

Things are pretty tough right now, so one needs to apply proper management to be able to scale through. One thing we do is to set up a budget and time table for the week or at least two weeks.

No matter how you budget, you would find out that you most times end up overshooting your budget. That's because you buy something today and the very next day, the price doubles.

i dont know any tools to managed this, but to control families expenses, we only buy something that we need not what we want, lucky me i have a supportive wife who always remind me about our expenses, she control the budget really well and set the monthly goals how much money that we have to achieve every month, so i'm glad that we still survive untill now

After covid19, i learned the hard way that we need to manage our expenses, so after free from debt, my wife and i agree to budgeting our expenses and every spending that we make it based on plan

In this hard situation, only buy something that we need not what we want and saving more for emergency funds (we never know when we will need it). Thats why me and my wife always write anything that we need for a months

This is where my mother is very good because when it comes to managing or family expenses, she has been excellent in it which makes us not to have to worry about debt and running out of stock.
