Most accurate way of tracking clicks on affiliate or referral links ?

Other than google analytics, what is the most accurate way of tracking human clicks on affiliate or referral links ? This will be required to find out how accurately the software is tracking the clicks and conversions?

Most of affiliate programs offers statistics about visitors and origin of visit and from where they comes but others doesn't provide this, may be using bitly could do the trick.
