Pro Sports Leagues and Tax Exempt Status

There are some countries that allow professional sports leagues to have tax exempt status', in order to encourage participation. Yet they drive in a ton of income to the teams. Should they have to pay taxes like every other business, or is it ok that they don't?

I think there is a way that taxes are allocated to them. They should pay taxes that is compulsory

I think that the government of the country has a goal it hopes to achieve with that kind of policy. And when that goal is achieved, those sport teams would be told to pay taxes.
