Protecting personal privacy when earning

I recently came across an online gig that is requiring me to take and upload 8 photos of myself engaging in various defined activities. There is a disclaimer that the data provided will be used widely across the internet.
This project is aimed at training AI to detect human persons. The pay is somehow decent.
Given that I am expected to capture my whole body, I am hesitant to proceed.

If you were in my place, would you participate in this project?

Truth be told it mainly depends on the person. For someone like me i would not take it, my reason is simply because i am not a picture person. I hardly take pictures as i find them rather stressful.

You have to be very careful and weigh it very well if it is worth it. I try as much as I can to keep my private details away from earning platforms. It could lead to privacy invasion.

I have seen pictures of ladies used to advertise dating sites and I am sure those ladies don't give out their real pictures like that. The pictures are taken from all these kind of privacy invading platforms.

That's right I agree with you. There have been many cases of taking people's faces and editing them with naked photos to be posted on pornographic sites. Therefore, I am very careful about sharing my photos on social media, even on WhatsApp profile photos.

In my personal opinion, if only the photos uploaded are not too problematic with personal privacy, because if a brand likes our photos we can become a brand ambassador, most importantly this site does not ask for ID cards or other important personal data.

I would hesitate to put photos on the net. There is always a risk that somebody will use my photos for other purposes. I would prefer to stay anonymous on the net, in particular earning sites.

On social media we can easily find photos of users in various poses, and I think as long as our real names are not known to the public it's not too much of a problem.

That's right I agree with you. I also do the same as you. Because I don't think it's important to put our personal photos on the internet. We can still make money even without putting our personal photos on the internet.

I won't even subscribe to any site that demands upload of personal pictures or selfies. It is only financial sites like Binance that I can do that. Beyond that, I can't be doing KYC on PTP or PTC or any other GPT platforms.

This is an individual thing as kt depends on the person involved I don't know why this sounds somehow to me as it might turned negative. . For me i would not take it.

I always make sure that I work on platforms that will not have access to my personal information that I have on my phone because there should be no reason for them to use that

That's right I agree with you. I also do the same with you. It's better to be careful about providing personal information, especially selfies with an identity card, I only did this to verify my paypal account.

I don't see any problem to post your own pictures, as long as they don't require you to be naked. Also, they shouldn't require you to be doing something illegal in the pictures. Just a normal decent picture doesn't sound bad to me.

No matter the pay they will offer me, I don't think I would put it into consideration, because ones you upload your pictures or details it will very hard to undo what you have done, and I can't risk having my sensitive information shared on the internet space.

In my view never proceed further because time to time their projects will become more complicated and more personal, you may remember many years before so many peoples were badly hurt by a website named blue whale.

There are plenty of such websites that wants us to upload our photos and also our ID proof and I dislike these websites and like to stay away from these

I can't keep my private details on an earning platforms.it might just be Ricky people have to be very careful and weigh it very well if it is worth before going ahead with it.
