Videoke is not popular in Nigeria as well. Instead of Videoke, we have dj. And engaging in musical instruments rentage.

In my city, they prefer to go to clubs or bars. At some point, they are more on listening to live bands. Although a few people can just go to KTV bars than renting them at home. Besides, it can disturb the neighbors if doing so.
