Meter taxi is a taxi which is used to give a transportation survice for customer but the different from other transpotations services is that meter taxi have a meter installed that calculates the fare based on the distance traveled or the duration of the trip. The fare is determined by a combination of factors such as the distance traveled, waiting time, and any additional charges or tolls. Passengers can hail a meter taxi from the street or call a taxi company to request a pickup.
In my country many job less peoples buy a car with a loan and they work this business and they get good profit and they pay their loan which they take to buy the can in short time.
What about in your country is meter taxi business profitable?

There are many metered taxi operators in my place alone. It is a profitable business now that the earth is back on its feet because, during the pandemic, the taxi operators sold their taxis because of losses. When the new normal started, the taxi operators were also challenged to get back to their businesses and they succeeded.

Nowadays Meter taxi days are over here, because Uber, Kareem and In drive completely changed the concept of taxi. We are hardly seeing any single taxi here, so there is no business exist like Meter taxi here.

In my place there are almost 6000 metered taxis running corner to corner and almost all are fully occupied with passengers. People dislike to ride on public utility vehicles because of the heavy traffic.

Running a taxi or transportation business is pretty common over here, but these meter taxis i doubt there is anyone doing this in my country. If there was one i don't think i would want to enter though, cause knowing my people, they would rig it to charge you higher. Even cap services like bolt and the likes, the drivers tend to charge you higher when they get there than what is shown in the app.

I really doubt there's any Meter taxi here, because Uber is what I know is here but I like the concept of the meter taxi but don't think there is a business like this existing here.

Yeah this meter taxi is popular in bit cities, in my country also its widely used in big city not on small towns, and peoples if they want to work on meter taxi they move to the big city.

True, but things like this is becoming very common these days in my area. This is also one reason i hardly use bolt services here in my country. The fee shown on the app is extremely cheap but the moment the driver comes, they would demand double the fee on the app.

Yes, meter taxi business is gaining ground in my country and it is very profitable. People use their private cars or take a loan to buy one and brand it with a meter taxi company to start working. These people make so much money, especially since those people who use these services are rich and like travelling long distances frequently.

Metered taxis would simply not work in my country. That's because my people don't value time. They would probably keep the taxi driver waiting for so long and their fares would be as high as and they would dump the service.
