It's very common that people to sell their hair. Here some saloons buy the hair at a very nominal price and sell further at a high rate as these are used in making wigs which are further sold at high rates.

Only girls usually have guts to sell their hair. I sold my hair when I was in college when it reached below my waist. It's heavy so I sold one half size of my hairs length at 2 500 pesos. That was big money already hehehe.
