Selling dolls is a very profitable business because girls love them and want to have as more as they can.

It's actually more like a toy selling business. It's something that moves very because it's associated with kids especially girls.

If I had the means and the know-how how to start making dolls and selling them I would definitely do so. I feel that dolls are a big thing even now as gifts and just as toys for children and if you can come up with something unique for a doll that hasn't been done before, that could be the winner in making a huge profit and your product becoming a huge success. You can't go wrong with any kind of toy and especially dolls as there will always be demand for them.

I can agree with you. My younger sister used to collect Barbie dolls before. Not only her, most young girls keep on asking their parents to buy them dolls, either Kent or Barbie.

I understand target marketing and all but a business that I can't have patronage from a wide range of classes of people is not worth it. This business is segmented to a small range of people.

There are Barbie dolls at home dolls my niece like to play with only. She has 35 Barbie dolls and they are so cute and lovely. In my case, I do not have the gut to do business like this.

The doll business is indeed quite profitable, because it is much liked by women from all walks of life, both children and adults. However, I am not interested in opening a doll making business, because I am more interested in the food and herbal medicine business.

I doubt if it will be profitable in third world countries especially now that starvation and hunger is biting harder. It may be lucrative in countries where the economy is thriving . I doubt the possibility of people buying toys now that the economy is shrinking and opportunities are limited.

This is a business I wouldn't consider. It has a huge potential to be very lucrative. But for me it is not just my thing. The demand from kids for dolls is high too.
