Selling Door to Door A Good Selling tactic?

In the past, we used to see people selling their products even the branded ones door to door and it was tough on them as they need to give demos to everyone who likes to know how it works and not everyone will buy but it was a good way to sell products but now things have changed and everyone likes to either visit the store or order online.

Do you think it was a good way to sell products and should be reintroduced?

It is very stress and out of date method of marketing. I will not advice inspiring marketers to try it because it will work them out. Online marketing is the game changer. It is very effective and properly targeted.

It could be a good business if those deliveries ordered you online and a worker or workers delivers /deliver. It's not difficult if there's a ride of the food delivery door to door.

It was a good way to sell back then, there is no doubt about that. But truth be told it was very stressful. These days people like to work smart not hard. This is exactly why many people now make use of the internet as a means of reaching places in seconds that would have taken hours, it not days. There are still persons who do this door to door sales though.

It's tough on the delivery or selling person because they have to work very hard but if they are fairly paid then it's fine as they'll able to see the customer reaction and can also note the real feedback of the customer

I won't take that as a good tactic. It is very stressful to me. By the time you go from one door to ten, you will be tired

I agree with you. Furthermore, I believe that nowadays it is very dangerous to buy from strangers.

It depends on if you are talking about knocking on doors or visiting responses to targeted advertising. My son does the latter to sell doors and windows and earns 5 figures a month in commissions. Obviously, he thinks it is a great strategy to practice.

In our place per delivery of order 150 pesos so many deliveries much money to earn.

Door-to-door selling is not very common here these days. This is because of the increased crimes here in the country and in many cases such salesmen are the culprits so people dont let them enter the house and sometimes they are so rude to them that they dont even open their door for them. That's the major reason why door-to-door selling is on reducing trend and people like to go to stores for shopping these days.

There are sellers who are good in marketing their items online and there are sellers too who are good on marketing it personally. To answer your question, I think it depends on which the seller is comfortable to take and to do.

I think till today, this is the best form of marketing. It has proven effective because it makes the customer conscious of the existence of your product.
