Should employers be in charge of their employee's meals?

I came across a lady who refused to work for a small dry cleaning company not really due to the pay but simply because they refused to also sponsor her meals during work hour. Personally i do not think the company or business owners have the right to pay for the meals of their employees especially in the case of a small business unless they want to. What's your case on this?

Well, this depends on the company. Some companies offer incentives that includes meals at work So yeah if the company can afford then it is okay nothing wrong with that.

In some big organization, employees get daily free meal and two times free tea from company, but in small company usually employee arrange their own meal. Because the owner can't afford it.

Oh hell not, there needs to be a boundary and power limitation between workers and employers, may be the employer can set a time that is given for a meal time but can't involve on what the workers have to eat.

It is determined by the size of the company. Small businesses, regardless of how they want it, are unlikely to be able to afford such a thing. We can't blame them, especially given the current state of our economy.

True, it does depends on the company. I have come across some who sometimes take care of their employees during breaks, then there are some who do not at all, and so on.

My point exactly it does depends on the boss and company.. some bosses know this and sometimes take care of their employees during breaks, so it isn't new to some employers

You must be right it's all depends on your boss if your boss is loyal and have sufficient capital he can do this but it's not mandatory because you will be paid salary as well you can use it for your meal

That's right it depends on the employer or Boss at the time. if your boss is kind and want the best for the workers and also have the sufficient capital to go with then no issues.
