It is always good to know when you are working with a micromanaging Boss or micromanager. The signs are always there so you can deal with it better.

A micromanaging Boss is always hovering round. They can be up in your face all the time

They are always over communicating both on necessary and unnecessary things

They are always calling for unnecessary meetings

They love to meddle in what doesn't directly concern them.

The major way to know a micromanager is inability to make decision fast and interfering with working procedures. Another way is to inability to trust others and believe that workers can do their work perfectly without his input. Micro managers are always giving others ulcers unnecessarily.

Such kind of boss always want to be in control. They might give you a Position that lets you be in control but in reality it is just a tittle, they still make the major rules and everything has to go through him for approval first.

When employees feel that they are being micromanaged, they may become less motivated and less productive this is because they feel that their manager does not trust them and they may feel like they are not being given the space to work effectively.

A micromanager is not good at delegating. S(he) tend to call constant meetings; ask you to account for every activity of the workday; do not empower employees to make decisions.
