Silicone gun - a necessary tool

Have silicone guns become a necessary tool in every household? For me they are. I fill all the smaller holes on the walls in the apartment, the parquet, between the tiles with silicone and the silicone gun is perfect for that job. I can precisely apply the silicone where I want and in the amount I want. Do you own a silicone gun? Do you use silicone for repairs?

I had some crack in my kitchen, it was very handful in helping me fixing them up.

I will use it in kitchen and bathroom in next few days. I have few holes between doors and walls.
