A good caller agent must be a fluent speaker. He or she must be able to communicate in a language that customers will understand. He must be bold and smart while calling or receiving a call. A caller agent must be attentive to the core.

I do think so. There are some training schools in my country that they can train people to become a call center agent. Soft skills are needed for them to be hired.

Be very calm with people, talk nice even when customer insult you without special reason, after job don't think about it. It is stressfull job be call center agent. I was that and now I am in similar role as tech support.

If you're not very good in your communication skills, it is going to be very difficult for you to carry out the job of a call centre agent successfully and you must also learn how to control your temper because customers will talk to you anyhow.

It was in the olden days call center business reigned in Nigeria. Then, it was a lucrative business.
Anybody employed then as call center agent must be good in communication skill. He should be also be courtsy. Finally, he must be financially accountable.

Seriously I had a problem with one customer service representative because she was so distracted that she cannot even hear what I have to say as I kept on repeating myself several times.

A call center agent of an organization called me "broke ass". I knew that the organization is over for me. Even when the manager later begged me, I or anyone I know whether closely or remotely would not patronize such a company.

call center agents need not only good communication skills plus manners but also very good voice and understanding of the english language. They murst be able to adapt to who they are talking too to be able to assist them.

Call center agents must be people that have a great deal of patience. Some callers are incoherent when talking. You have to be patient when dealing with them so you can understand what they need.

I once worked as a call center agent for a hiv awareness organization. You could feel the desperation of people when they call. You had to reassure them. That's one character of a call center agent. The ability to stem the tide.

I believe some of the skills needed is one's ability to communicate, comprehend and listen. And of cause patience is also needed cause you would be dealing with different kind of people on a daily basis.
