Starting up a school

On a normal day I kind of dislike teaching but I'm now thinking as a businessman after all I can own a school even though I don't teach. What are those things that should be considered before venturing into this as a business.
1 - it will require huge capital...

A school building is very important here without that there is no school, and about getting kids I think with good adverts more kids will come by.

You would need skilled teachers and a good location to start off. Mske sure you can also provide good security to the children it is important.

Maybe your requirements there in your country are not the same in my country. DepEd requires applicant to be a master or doctorate degree holder, feasibility study, cash bond of 500,000 Ph money, location, building area, sample manuals, computers, laptops, school materials and facilities in school and foremost , school organization .

Yeah there is no way you would run a quality school without quality teachers so one needs good teachers.

Maybe your requirements there in your country are not the same in my country. That's a lot to do before setting up school although this quite similar with my country's requirements, just a few differences like about the computer&laptop requirements here in my country you can start up a BASIC school without those.

Establishing a school requires approvals from different parties and you need capital and land for that and over and above you need to hire teachers and staff and all this will take a lot of time as per my calculation so first you can plan to start a play way type school and if its successful then can go for a bigger school or some sort of coaching institution will do

Starting a school now in my country demands a lot. You can even escape some in the rural areas but not in the urban centres.

There are some unregistered schools around here but for them keep going they have to remain stagnant like there won't be improvement with their infrastructure because that will invite unnecessary attention. But schools like that are tagged illegal.

In India people even set up small coaching classes to teach interested kids and earn from it and it's a very good business because everyone likes to take extra classes for different courses.

You're right people like taking extra classes a lot and that have given rise to a rapid increase in coaching centers around here, even some offers more than coaching like a program they refers to as IJMB it's more like a a course but when you're done with it you will automatically skip first year at university.

Yeah I have some in my area as well. They do not take part in the examination body since they are unregistered. So it is still illegal

Putting up a school requires partnership, not solo proprietorship. It is not an easy operation to set up a school in a particular place. I suggest to start first with nursery school because it has fewer requirements.

Almost all the schools here are owned by a sole proprietor. I barely see a schools with multiple owners. Nursery schools and creche are very easy to start but it's not enough to be called a school to me.lol

@Mikky Yes kids will start coming to the school when you do a good promotion of the school. You need to distribute templates in your vicinity and can place an advertisement in newspaper or so.
