Benin Republic is one place where you can find sugar cane a lot. They have lots of sugar cane farms, and they usually export to other countries as well as a means of generating revenue for the country. Do you think investing in sugar cane is a good investment? Besides eating them i do not know of any other use for them.

Sugarcane is one of the major source of sugar. In northern nigeria, some farmers are empowered by companies that manufacture sugar to plant sugarcane. In some states in northern Nigeria, you will see thousand of hectares of sugar plantations. Though, Nigeria is not one of the major exporters of sugar.
In my opinion, investment in sugarcane plantations is quite good, but requires quite a large area of land. It is said to be quite good because sugar cane is the basic ingredient for making granulated sugar, and granulated sugar is one of the basic needs of human food, we cannot live without sugar.
