What's your take on the phrase "the customer is always right." I really hate the line. It always gives customers the advantage and they tend to misuse it. some customers will be really rude, sometimes when it's really not necessary, just because they know that they are out on a pedestal.

It is not true at all. Many people don't understand what they buy, don't read rules, don't use product as should and then seller is problem. Not is not, it is customer.

I've heard the phrase a lot as well, however, I don't believe the customer is always right. Most people that assume they are right can easily be corrected, but per company policy we aren't allowed to "correct" them. Soooo. It's a lose lose situation.

This only means that our products and services should be customer-centric otherwise, we can't expect our growth as a company. If there are companies that do not take customer feedback seriously then it will be tough for them to survive.

I also hate this tag line but sometimes we have no choice but to accept all there rude attitude since without our customers are business will not succeed.

I worked with customers. They mostly took advantage of that line. And ut wasn't nice at all. And even if they where wrong they would never acknowledge it, they would milk the issue.

This is a general concept in business. However, if you check big businesses, you will see what ever the business do is the right thing for the customer. That's why there is a market for luxury brands.

Customers should always be right because that is how a business would grow but if you want to reject customers simply because they put up a funny behaviour, then such business will not grow.

Well, no one is always right. As a customer centric business, you need to think of how to handle the situation when the customer is wrong. Stay calm. There's no point in having a heated argument with the customer. Find out the problem and provide the customer with helpful recommendations.

This is not always correct because sometimes customers are trying to deceive the business owner, for example they return something after using it and they want a refund, so we can not say they are always right.
