I think the major benefits that come from such is for people to know how legit the business it so that they can always want up to the office if the are having any difficulty

It depends though, most people open a second branch to simply reach more persons. They may have discovered a particular place or location that actually lacks the service they offer, hence they open a branch there. Then there are cases where majority of their current customers is coming from a particular location which is far from them, hence they open another branch that is closer to their customers.
