It is all over twitter that Musk will be charging $20 a month for Blue tick Varification, this means every varified account will have to shell out $240 a year to keep the blue tick. People are not happy with this news, what is your take?

I have indeed heard about this big news circulating. At first glance, it definitely is a bit weird. But then if you think about it from the company’s perspective, it really is a great business model because many companies and celebrities would do anything to keep their blue ticks on Twitter, so it really is an easy cash grab for Twitter.

I don’t really think the blue tick is for everyone. I surely won’t be paying for it, simply because I don’t want the blue verification tick, I believe I can use Twitter casually without having the blue tick. I think it’s a feature only for companies and celebrities, as I mentioned earlier.

That thinking is a personal opinion, Blue tick is for Varification, and fees will be charged for it. Musk is trying diffrent ways of revenue and bot controlling, but this fees has become controversial.

This man is a business man. I have knew it that this man that just bought twitter will make twitter hard for members because he will try to monetize every part of the website. And he have already started. Having a verified sticker is to show how the user is legit but it's about to change.

That feature is only for Blue tick, not for every account. Musk knows how to do business. He has his own plans, he might do more, but only he knows what he is doing. Will he include payment in Dogecoin, this is now a question.

I think now Elon Musk is literally grasping at straws trying to beg celebrities and companies to pay for the blue tick. And people are starting to realize this shady scheme and a downfall of Twitter seems imminent.
