If you pay close attention to ads, you will see some ads evoke fearful emotions. For instance, you can see ads for a hand sanitizer that says germs are everywhere and they are making you sick. This kind of fear encourages you to buy the product. Fear has a great appeal in advertising, it has a great impact in consumer decision-making and behavior.

The truth of the matter is that people need a reason before they would make a purchase. Like networkers for example they tend to talk about how there are no jobs out there or how robots are gradually taking over, thous giving themselves as a solution to that problem.
