Web hosting company disabling FTP

In some cases, the web hosting company is disabling FTP after falsely labeling the advertising network code as malware. What is best way to fix the problem, since FTP is very convenient for file transfer.

First news about it. You can always replace FTP with online and manual uploader but it is still FTP. I don't think they block ftp because of malware. They block frames and crawlers. In most ad banners is frame in sjavascript code which pull banner data=ad.

Did they disable it just for you or for the entire customer? can you name which web hosting is blocking FTP? Did they block you after you tried to upload files?

Maybe they block just some files. Most web companys have virus scan and his files contain it, without his knowledge.
Sometimes ftp uploader have problems with uploading font files like this webfonts files.

This is shocking. With any kind of hosting, you are going to need FTP access as that is the only way you are going to be able to upload files that you would need for your website. Which hosting company was this? Seems like one that should be avoided if they are doing this as FTP is essential.

In this case, i think the best thing to do would be to contact the support system of the web hosting company and explain to them, then see if they could enable the FTP back.

Some of the webhosting companies especially with CPanel are refusing to enable FTP causing great problems for the webmaster, who finds it very difficult to upload the files to the webhosting account.
