I came to know about different websites that have better pay rate but they stop accepting new users after some time. I like to know why they do that because more users mean more content and more revenue for the website and there are many websites that are presently not accepting new users and when they do they still need someone's invite.

I have the same question. It is so disappointing when you want to join a website and the website does not accept new users.

They have good quality team who respect rules and post quality content. So they stop if they think new users will.lower quality. Sometimes smaller team can bring more money than bigger team.

I think you are right if a site believes that the people presently working with them are good there wouldn't be need of letting in new users.

I think it is because they have had too much of users and they may not be able to control more users

Yeah, I think the major reason some websites took that decision is to be able to pay the existing members. I think it is actually a very good move for sustainability.
