For me I would say poor standard of living and violent and unsafe environment for growing infant's

One major characteristics is poor standard of living, this is usually due to the fact that there are no jobs available for even does who have the qualifications to do them.

You should also add high rates of unemployment and a lot of security issues and religious crisis because it is one of the prevalent issues in our country today which the government have failed to tackle.

There are times that people in these countries are blaming their governments for not doing anything to uplift them from poverty. In my mind, they have a point and it needs to be addressed and be supported to find proper livelihood programs for them.

When the people do not get their common facilities so the crime rate will be high on that country, and people will try to snatch their facilities from one those who are rich. Under development countries should have make a plan by means of which at least they started moving towards positive.

The problem is the government of all these African countries because it is not that they don't have the resources to make all these things better in their country but they are too greedy and selfish to do that.

The government need to work on the underdevelopment in third world countries. There are having low participation in the private sector in the economy . All of these leads to massive unemployment.
