I like when the government comes into a business as investors. The price of the products or services of such business will cheap and available as government will subsidise them

In my book, the government is always involve in businesses because they are following the state's policies. In China, some companies are directly regulated by their government.

Governments primarily engages in business to provide social services to its citizens. Basically, the pricing is what brings the government into business. They come in to provide services at subsidized prices.

The government will definitely get involved in the business if it is about to collapse. The government will rescue the business immediately.

This is a very important point and I think you are very correct with your assertion because government will tend to take over companies that is collapsing.

If its a well known company, the government might want to get involved when they discover they are exploiting the masses. Or when the company in particular do not pay tax.

That could be another reason because if a company is exploiting people, then the government might decide to take action.

Governments can set up businesses to regulate and control the particular natural resource it deems fit to control.. And that is mainly to help the government generate revenue and wealth for the country.

This is what the government always do but they mostly do these things in their favor and not in the favour of the citizens. That is why people do not like it when the government is controlling the business

The government can chip in to the business when the goods/services to be provided are essential to the welfare of the citizens
Yes i remember back then when the company in charge of supplying electricity was owned by a private person, they where not doing their job, the government had to take over the company. Though later own it was made a private company again.

That is why I always have problems with the government. Why will they buy a business from a private company and later sell it to them back. Does that make any sense?

Circumstances that may compel the government to intervene in business include monopolistic behavior, financial crises, environmental problems, consumer protection, and important areas such as health care. The government intervenes to ensure balance, protection of citizens and stability of the economy.

It may also consist of their reputation in the society because there are times when the government may decide to shut down a company may be because of the bad reputation that they have within the country

In my location, government does not involve directly in the management of any business. But in certain sectors, such as public transportation, electricity, gas, the government has regulations on the pricing of such services.

In my country though, government gets involved in managing businesses directly by establishing corporations that don't have profit making motive to provide services for the people. Education is a sector that the government has really developed and built a strong interest.

I would say that one of the circumstances that is going to make government to get involved in a business is when there is excessive Monopoly in that sector.
