What are the demerits for advertising your business on the national television

The only disadvantage is that it is costly. National television have great number of audience. Though, presently people don't like watching national television because they seems to be outdated and lack creativity.

It is extremely important to advertise your brand in national TV because it is more effective way to promote your brand but the disadvantage is that you will not reach a large audience with this type of advertisement.

I think it is really expensive and the airtime is so limited, too. Although it is still a good option to advetise items of big-scale businesses in the market. "They can do it because they can afford it."

If your target audience is for does in urban areas, then i believe it is pretty much safe to advertise with tv, or you could simply make use of the internet.

I don't think that there is demerit because all are geared towards improving the sales of the business.
I agree with you. I am sure that they are going to gain something if the TV commercials are so inviting for the target customers to avail their products or services. Despite how expensive it is, they can still gain something from doing so.

Advertising on TV is expensive and may not be effective. I noted that nowadays, there are less people watching TV. Advertising on social media is much more cost effective. Big companies can afford to do both.

If your business is something that is focused on a particular location or country, I believe that making use of a National Television is something that is going to make your advertisement to be very effective. But if it's something that you are selling to the whole world, advertising it only on National Television is going to limit your sales.

Truth be told, the youths in my country don't watch the national television channels. You would cut off the youths from getting the messages of your brand if you advertise on national tv.

Another set back is that the advertisement may not reach to the exact volume of the target audience if at all the advertisement is aired during odd hours whereby the targeted audience could be at work or asleep.

I don't think that is a disadvantage in my own opinion. Not every kind of advertisement will reach everyone. If you when you advertise on social media it will not reach everybody.
