I think reduction of imports is the best here because it will even make the country produce its own local goods and it will be at cheaper rate

The main thing is that we don't have enough power to do that here. It is very painful. So many government retirees are now beggars

Yes this is not a joke.
Egypt when opening international transfer the price of egyptian pound is tripled.
Some countries restrict international bank wire transferts for normal citizen to to avoid inflation.
