I just keep wondering how the values quoted for buildings are worked out and gotten.

What are the metrics used by valuers to estimate the value of that house?

The area and the nature of a building would determine its value. A flat constructed in big cities would value more than same built in less commercial areas like rural areas.

I think the metrics used to value a building include the location of the building; the size of the building; the age of the building, as well as the physical condition of the building.

In my country, we normally use the measurement of meter. It is a standard measurement for the builders to measure the buildings areas. I am not sure with the other countries.

We also make use of pre-paid metre so that the amount of voltage we use will be calculated by the meter

For a place to be valued the area and the nature of a building should be determine . property in big cities would value be of more value than rural areas

It is primarily the location. It grossly determines how much a building would be valued at. Just have a house close to a higher institution and watch the price go up as a result of demand.

You are right and the house service also needs to be good in a way that if we need anything, it will be provided for us

I believe that some of the metrix that the valuers used to measure or estimate the value of a house is going to have in it the age of the building, the location and social amenities that available where the house is positioned.

This is why the landlord should provide some things in the house that will make it look attractive to people so that they will want to rent it

Whether for rentals or for purchase, the location of the building is a very important indicator of the worth of the building. Another thing that determines how much a building is worth is the amenities in the building. A house with tiles won't command same value like a house that doesn't have tiles.
