If you are going to or have entered retirement, you can do some business ideas that are light but can make big profits, such as boarding houses or rent houses, franchise businesses, online businesses, dropshippers, resellers, etc.
I think female retirees can open day care centers. It is a natural inclination to them since most of them would be grandmothers at the time. It would do well under their management.
I agree with you, designing and sewing are very suitable for businesses for female retirees, although nowadays, most people buy ready-to-wear clothes in stores but they are often too big, so I also often go to tailors to reduce clothes or cut long trousers.
There are many businesses a female retiree can do. She can teach people how to cook online, sell skin care products. I know a female retiree setting up a small store offering cloth alteration service. She is making good money.
I think they can sell online in marketplace, for small items such as skincare and beauty products, medicines, snacks, clothes, bags, shoes, and others. Depending on their interests and knowledge. As for me, I'm more inclined to medicine and snacks.
