What are your thoughts on bringing a lunchbox to work?
During my working days with my previous offline companies, I do bring my lunchbox. It is not only for saving some money but to eat healthy foods that are cooked at home. I am more on slow-food than fast-food.
Yes, it's better to eat homemade food than to eat fast food. We have a canteen in our company where people do lunch but I don't prefer it as it is tasteless and chapatis are not fully baked so I bring lunchbox to the office.
I also bring my homemade food for work. There are many people in the cafeteria and my schedule is so closed. Also, I am the one cooking my food for work. I apply only a few granules of salt, and less cooking oil, I used Corned Coking oil in frying. Our food is safe too if cooked by us personally.
When I was working full time, I seldom bring lunchbox to work because I enjoy eating out with my co-workers during lunch time. That's the time we do not talk about work, and it helps to build good relationship with them.
Bringing a lunchbox to work is a great idea. Not only will it help you save money, but you will also know what is in your food. If I had an offline job, I would surely do such a thing.
