Some businessmen used humor effectively in business, such as to make a new contact during networking or to change a negative situation into a positive one. You are a certified socializer if you can do this. At some point, some of them get further in their careers due to being smooth with words. Although we still need to consider when it is appropriate or not.

A business environment is not a war zone where everything uas ti he so serious. A little bit of humor would make the work tasks easier to complete as it would bring some relief to the staff.
Humor in a business environment is important enough to entertain employees so they don't feel bored with their work. But make sure it's just light humor that won't interfere with the effectiveness of the work. And don't do it when the momentum is serious.
Sure, at least to get people's attention once in a while even during meetings, this is one of the reason people lose concentration during meetings , and also there should be illustrations so people can see since we understand what we see better.
I reckon that humour is associated with creativity. There are many businessmen who use this ability when it comes to marketing their products while advertising them in an effective manner.

Although we cannot disregard that some people tend to have this persona but they are not good at their respective jobs. They are just only talks but lack of actions in aiming the goals.
It's good to have a bit of humor in the workplace if done properly and at the right time. It helps to build relationship amongst workers and lift the spirit in the working environment.
You have made a very good point! having humor and doing it at the right time is critical.
Humor is acceptable when delivered at the appropriate time. It can lighten the mood, especially when everyone is feeling stressed or under pressure.
