In my opinion, when dining out with a client, we should exercise caution regarding table etiquette. Giving the wrong impression as a result of this issue is not good. The fundamental thing to take into account when eating out with clients.

The major consideration when having a lunch with the partner is that we should consider the smooth running of the business at the table.
I simply believe that a client that will work or partner with you will not consider those table manners. If he will do business with you, those things doesn't matter. Just have fun and savoury your meal and leave the rest to God.
I think the main things you should consider when taking a client our for launch is what to eat, what to wear, content of discussion and most importantly where to eat. These things gives a clear picture of you kind of person and of cause you taste.

I agree with you. Sometimes we have to sort out which one does give the potential of having the real business. We cannot rely on being bluffed by others, but to know the reputation of the company as much as possible.
indeed, when having lunch with a business partner or clients we talk about business, of course, and according to my experience when having lunch with them I did not eat at all because I have to make sure that I write down all of the client's wants
Yes, I totally agree with you, when we invite colleagues or business partners to lunch, we must maintain good table manners, unlike when having lunch with friends or family who usually tend to be relaxed and joke a lot.
When inviting a business partner for lunch, you should select the right restaurant, dress properly and observe your table manner. Make sure you don't discuss topics such as politics or religion.
I still remember when I had to accompany my boos meeting with our new clients @Starmix , I asked my boss about some resto that she had to choose and she choose one of the restos that provide foods that I can not eat at all, so I only drink warm water and my boss realize that I can't eat the food at all and she asked me "is it okay for you that you had to lunch after this meeting?" and I said, "Never mind at all, lets finished our jobs first".
Why didn't you request food for the resto owner? I think they can cook the food you eat. Maybe those people with you ordered pork which you cannot eat. I also do not eat pork, so I will never attend fiestas in my place. I don't want trouble.
I just want respect the client, they were in hurry, and I just wanna did my job very well, and voila the clients knew that I can't eat the food from that resto, so we did a quick meeting and after we were done, the client ask my boss to talk alone with her and my boss told me "you should eating on another resto now, the job done and you can go now" I had a great boss back then @Starmix
I think its important to choose a location thats convenient for both parties and has a relaxed atmosphere. No one wants to discuss business over a cramped table in a noisy restaurant.
You were lucky, you had a good boss, not a toxic one. I like a boss with a heart and mind rich with understanding and empathy. There are bosses that never care about others' feelings, selfish types.
