I believe each and everyone of us have a genuine and specific understanding of investment. What is your personal definition of investment. There are some who talk about investments without even having a proper understanding of what investment means. Personally i believe investment is the process of putting in Capital into a long or short term project with an expectation of making profit.

The definition of investment in my opinion is placing funds in a type of asset for a certain period of time, with several objectives including to obtain passive income that will be useful in the future, to avoid inflation in the money we have, and so on.
