What measures should be put in place to stop the ongoing inflation?

I wonder what could be done to end the so long inflation. Any suggestions please

The best people who can interpret this is the economists. Speaking of controlling, they cannot do this because of certain factors.

Is the inflation a global thing? I thought it is only felt in my country, Nigeria. If it is global, I am afraid nothing can be done to avert it. We just have to raise the income level.

If people on the whole spend less on goods and services, prices will tend to rise more slowly. That helps to lower the inflation rate. Another tool to fight inflation is to raise interest rate which motivates people to save rather than spend.

The inflation rate could be reduced if the government are proactive and it could be done by regulating the interest rate.

That's true. But this one is global inflation. If it was a country inflation, the apex bank of that country can simply use interest rates to control it.

Inflation is such a pain. I think one thing we could do is encourage people to save more money instead of spending it all the time that way there wont be as much demand for goods and services which could help bring prices down.
